Scott Andrews - Founder & Executive Chef:

Scott founded Stagionarsi in the spring of 2011 with the encouragement of Annie Branning, whom he worked with at Angelica Kitchen in the East Village. He has always had a love for cooking after learning many recipes from his mother (especially candy making) as well as self improvisation as a latchkey kid growing up. In the spring of 2002 Scott traveled to Italy for the first time and fell in love with all things Italian. After taking some cooking classes there he realized the joy of cooking for others and has been doing it ever since.

Collaborating Chefs & Servers

Annie Branning - Honorary co-founder & muse

Annie & Scott met working in the kitchen at Angelica Kitchen. Annie gave Scott a copy of Kitchen Confidential and the rest is history. They quickly knew they loved cooking together and sharing food stories. Annie pushed to help get Stagionarsi off and running. She was the first person to hear the name and gave her blessing. She famously refused to help in the kitchen for the first seasonal event, wanting instead to soak in the experience of the dinning room and then come into the kitchen to assist on later events after knowing what it was and what it needed to be. Annie now resides in Ohio and has a beautiful child. Annie continues to offer inspiration to all.

John Andrews - collaborating chef

John started cooking in Salt Lake City, Utah and would fly out to New York to assist on Stagionarsi events until ultimately moving to NYC himself and working at ABC Kitchen. John continues to be a collaborator on events, but his true passion is print making, and much of his art can be seen on hanging on the walls during Stagionarsi events in Brooklyn.

Brittain Ashford - Server extraordinaire

Brittain and Scott first met at the University of Washington back in 2003, but reconnected in 2008 when both were living in NYC. Brittain has helped serve the majority of Stagionarsi events, and even took over on cooking duties after a knife injury during service prevented Scott from continuing. She has remained dedicated to Stagionarsi, lending support when she can, even when she is deep into music writing and performing, or working on Broadway. If you are not familiar with Brittain’s music, please familiarize yourself now. https://www.brittainashford.com/music

Rashel Peddersen - collaborating chef, server, and decorator

Rashel and Scott have known each other since middle school back in Salt Lake City. Rashel, an artist hat heart, attended NYU and is a project manager at Public Art Fund. She has an amazing eye for beauty and really knows how to set the mood for many a Stagionarsi event.

Stephen Sanders - collaborating chef & food photographer

Stephen and Scott also met at SPACE on Ryder Farm as fellow resident chefs and have collaborating on many Seasonal Stagionarsi events. Stephen brings a calming balance to the kitchen and strives to push for new inventive takes on food. Perhaps the biggest shared value between Stephen and Scott would be their love of butter. You can never have too much butter (and Stephen would also add lemons to that list too).

Brendan Spieth - collaborating chef

Brendan and Scott first met while working as resident chefs at SPACE on Ryder Farm. They quickly bonded over their love for Anthony Bourdain and their rustic style approach of cooking. Brendan has traveled with Scott to Puerto Rico for a private NYE Stagionarsi event, and hope to take Stagionarsi on the road once more to Puerto Rico (and elsewhere). Brendan currently resides in LA.
